Pir Tareen | Master Portrait Artist
An award wining artist, in 1976, Pir won a four year Masters scholarship in Italy, studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome.
During this time, he travelled extensively throughout Europe, always studying the Great Masters. Pir learnt techniques of great Italian masters, working with sculptors, and held two one man shows in Rome at a young age. Pir was commissioned to paint the portrait of Pope John Paul II as well as Marchesa Capranica’s portrait which hangs in Capranica Palace, Rome.
Pir Tareen lives in Australia and paints commissions and exhibits for loved and respected members of the Australian and international community.
